There is a covered bridge right here in Windham that has taken people over the Presumpscot River to Gorham for over 150 years. For most of that time, it has been called Babb’s Bridge and if that bridge could talk, oh what stories it could tell! Since the bridge has chosen to remain silent, Windham Historical Society member and retired teacher Gary Plummer will share some stories about it on April 28 at 7 p.m. at the Little Meetinghouse in North Windham. This promises to be an educational and enjoyable evening and we look forward to seeing many of you there. The program is FREE and light refreshments will be served. A $5 donation would be welcome.
