Join the Windham Historical Society as they present their first program of the 2025 season, “Geology and Geomorphology of Sebago Lake and the Presumpscot River.” The program will explore the geological history of the lake and its tributaries and outlets with a special emphasis on the Presumpscot River. Why Sebago Lake is so deep will also be discussed.
Presenting for the event will be Don Wescott from the Presumpscot River Land Trust and Irwin Novak, Professor Emeritus of Geology from the University of Southern Maine whose teaching focused on oceanography, geomorphology, and glacial geology. This is a great way to explore Sebago Lake while its waters are still frozen. We hope to see you there!
